EPIC Hospitality Group has been appointed to run two hotels in Liverpool currently being developed.

The luxury hotel brand, operated by hotelier Simon Beer, will assume management control of a £20m property on the city's Seel Street immediately. The 128-room venue is nearing completion and will comprise rooftop suites, with terraces providing unobstructed views of the city, a residents' bar and gym.

An outline deal for a second hotel in the Baltic neighbourhood has been agreed, allowing work to start on site next month. The £70m, 306-bedroom property will have views across Liverpool's south docks.

Both sites are being developed by Elliot Group and will also incorporate a food and beverage offer.

Beer said: "We've been at the cutting edge of the aparthotel movement for a number of years and this deal allows us to expand our portfolio further to encompass the luxury four-star hotel experience. The EPIC brand's pioneering approach is being recognised throughout the sector and is making us a go-to company for developers to partner with.

"Both the Seel Street and Baltic properties are in distinctive neighbourhoods with a dynamic vibe and, as one of Liverpool’s finest independent hotel groups, we’ll seek to reflect that character in our service offer and in the interior décor."

Elliot Lawless of Elliot Group added: "Simon and his team have a shelf-full of awards for their outstanding hospitality and their TripAdvisor reviews say it all. They're a great partner who understand the Liverpool market intimately, and also how to work with historic properties like our Seel Street hotel."
